Imagine graduating with a broad knowledge of business, arts and media, psychology, global studies or American studies. Imagine a meaningful internship and service learning experiences that include a law office, a non-profit organization or a classroom of young students. Imagine completing your degree and coming away with a digital resume, showcasing your academic achievements and hands-on experience, that you can show potential employers or graduate schools. Your amazing life comes into view with a Marymount California University Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts. Marymount alumni have achieved success in many fields, including teaching, law, business, and international relations. Former students are professors and business leaders, while others work in medicine, government and in the non-profit sector, for companies such as the California Heart & Vascular Institute, the Department of Homeland Security and Bishop Amat Memorial High School.
The Marymount California University Liberal Arts Degree will provide you with a solid foundation of knowledge and experience. Your classes will be small in size, which will allow you to fully engage in learning, including case study presentations, discussion, and reflection on what you’ve learned. You will receive individual faculty mentoring and targeted advising from your professors. The University's Oceanview and Waterfront campuses, with their close proximity to Los Angeles and its WorldPort, afford the Liberal Arts students many opportunities, including practical internships, where you can apply what you've learned in the classroom and make valuable connections with an array of accomplished professionals. Our goal is to graduate students who are prepared for the working world or graduate school, with an impressive résumé and a unique e-portfolio of your accomplishments.
