Institutional Technology provides campus wide technology solutions for faculty, staff, and students. From E-mail and Internet access, to the Oceanside computer center, members of the Marymount College community have available to them the latest in software and hardware for academic and administrative purposes. Mission
Our mission is to provide and maintain an infrastructure of computing and communications resources and services that provide connectivity and access to information for the College community in support of its mission and goals.
We accomplish our mission by:
- Building a reliable infrastructure able to meet Marymount's present and future technology and communication needs.
- Maintaining technology enabled classrooms and labs.
- Supporting technology that enhances and expands the teaching and learning environment.
- Providing specialized technical support services.
- Delivering internet and classroom-based training programs.
Strategy
The College will integrate technology as a tool to further strengthen academic and administrative services in support of the strategic directions of the college.
Implement the remaining modules of CAMS Enterprise solutions. Implement additional features of the faculty portal and student portal, such as, degree audit, online registration and payment processing. Provide the training for faculty and staff to utilize these additional features and modules.
In collaboration with the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the faculty, develop a set of required competencies related to the use of instructional technology. These competencies will be incorporated into the Colleges technology plan and will include strategies for training and professional development.
In an effort to encourage the infusion of technology into the curriculum, develop opportunities and identify resources that foster technological innovations. Efforts to include professional development opportunities in instructional design.
