Marymount California University supports and embodies its core value of “Service” in many ways. Student service organizations, alternative spring breaks, University service days for faculty and staff, and the office of Service Learning all "encourage our students to seek a more just world and to lead lives of compassionate service to others."
Campus Ministry has organized numerous service and volunteer opportunities for the University. These include programs of direct service to people in the local community, as well as opportunities for reflection and advocacy on global issues. Examples include:
Each semester, our University Chaplain visits the residential communities to convey blessings on the houses.
Known to everyone as “Father Mark,” Reverend Villano also serves as director of Mission and Ministry and chairs the Mission and Catholic Identity Council.
Our programs are designed for students who truly want to make a difference. Courses emphasize problem solving, communication strategies and a sense of entrepreneurship. With a focus on the future, Marymount California continues to
grow. We're expanding our campus, our faculty and our programs all to help our students realize their full academic and
professional potential. Grow with us. See your future through our eyes. It looks amazing.
