Honors Courses

All honors courses can be used to fulfill the general education requirements. For further clarification, see the course descriptions in the College Bulletin. Honors courses in the College Catalog are designated with an “H."

Each semester, on a rotational basis, one of the following four honors core classes will be offered: English 220H, History 210H, Philosophy 220H, or Science 145H and at least two additional honors classes will be offered. We are currently in the process of mapping upper division courses (more to come). All honors core classes will be selected by the Honors Program Faculty, from the wide variety of disciplines that constitute the Liberal Arts and Sciences curriculum. Thus, by the time the honors student has graduated, he/she may have completed multiple honors courses across disciplines — an extremely substantial honors experience of which the student can be justifiably proud!
