Brenda Solomon, EdD, is vice president for the university’s office of development. Solomon began on July 16, 2012. Solomon worked at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK where during her 18 years there she worked in a variety of professional roles. For the last eight years she served as the senior director of development for the OSU Foundation where she raised more than $60 million for the university.
Solomon was the first in her family to obtain a college degree and holds a doctorate in Adult Education from OSU. She received a master’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge. During her career she has taught fundraising professionals in seminars and conferences through the Indiana University Center for Philanthropy and at the “Big 12” Development Conference in 2011. She is a member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, a professional fundraising association.
