Student Development

The Student Development Services division is comprised of seven areas:

The Dean of Students Office is the first stop for students who need assistance with issues outside the classroom.  We also operate the Campus Lost and Found, check out lockers and provide student IDs.

The Office of Student Life and Student Engagement focuses on student engagement and providing educationally purposeful programming for all students. Students have the opportunity to get involved in both formal and informal activities and events, student organization events and meetings, and service. This team also runs the Wood Student Center.

The Office of Residential Life and Conduct provides oversight of two distinct residential communities, providing each resident with a living and learning environment that promotes individual growth and responsibility within a safe, well-maintained residence-hall facility.

The Student Health Center fosters a student-centered approach to learning that promotes the development of the whole person.  The mission of the Student Health Center is to provide accessible and cost-effective services and opportunities that promote the physical, spiritual and mental well-being of Marymount students in accordance with the total wellness concept.

The Counseling Services department helps students achieve their academic goals through the delivery of timely mental health services and relevant educational programming. These services foster healthy choices, deepen self-awareness and enhance the student’s understanding of others and the world around them.

The Athletics department is an essential part of Marymount College’s commitment to a values-based education of the whole person.  Its mission is to enhance and support the academic purpose of the College and, in the spirit of our founders, the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary; we challenge our student-athletes to pursue lives of leadership and service.  Marymount is member of the NAIA and the CalPac Conference and plays intercollegiate Soccer, Cross Country, Track and Golf and club Lacrosse.

The Center for Service-Learning provides a dynamic forum for supporting the RSHM mission of access, personal growth, lifelong learning, service, social justice and universal connection while enhancing the relevancy of our BA, AA, and AS degree programs by helping classroom material come alive through a related service projects.
